With gratitude to Allah, Good Deeds – Ottawa, Canada successfully carried out this year’s Qurbani project by sacrificing a cow and distributing its meat to 60 families in need across several areas in Bahri: Al-Samarab, Al-Halfaya, and Dardoug.
The campaign raised 902 CAD, equivalent to 1,580,000 Sudanese pounds. Every dollar was used to purchase and distribute fresh meat to vulnerable households, allowing them to partake in the joy and dignity of Eid al-Adha with a nourishing meal.
Additionally, a portion of the funds was sent to our contact, Anton, for packaging and distribution in Omdurman. Although we were unable to receive photos from that distribution due to an unfortunate incident — a fire at sister Amira’s home that destroyed mobile phones — we are relieved and thankful that everyone is safe, alhamdulillah.
We pray that Allah accepts the sacrifices and acts of kindness from all donors, and blesses them with a joyous Eid full of mercy and reward.
