The humanitarian situation in Abu Shouk Camp, located in Al-Fashir, has grown increasingly dire due to ongoing artillery shelling that has disrupted daily life and endangered thousands of displaced residents. The relentless attacks have worsened both the security and health conditions in the camp, where most people are already suffering from illness, malnutrition, and lack of care.
Food and medicine have become almost nonexistent. With humanitarian aid halted and grants discontinued, families have been surviving on little more than a mixture of water and flour — a clear sign of a deepening crisis.
In the face of this tragedy, Good Deeds – Ottawa, Canada, stepped in to deliver urgent assistance to the camp. This emergency intervention provided basic supplies, aiming to ease suffering, restore some sense of stability, and remind the residents that they are not forgotten.
This support is a lifeline, but the needs remain immense. We continue to call for awareness and action to help protect and support those caught in one of Sudan’s most heartbreaking humanitarian emergencies.
Together, we can deliver more hope to those who have lost everything but their resilience.
